Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Invalid Memory, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") owns and operates JointGreetings at JointGreetings.com and is responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Card creators: Email address (used to manage your card and receive notifications).
- Card signers: Display name, message, optional email for an edit link, and image links you add to a card.
- Card recipients: Name. Older cards may also contain a recipient email address supplied by the creator.
Information Collected Automatically
- Basic analytics data such as page views, browser type, and device type, collected on general site pages via Vercel Analytics. Card and billing pages are excluded.
- Server logs that may include IP addresses, timestamps, and request information.
- We count views and clicks on the invitation to make another card in daily totals. These counts contain no names, emails, card links, messages, or visitor IDs. We also save a fixed source label, such as “farewell page,” with a new card and use aggregate card counts to understand which parts of the site help people complete cards. Private card pages remain excluded from Vercel Analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create, manage, and deliver greeting cards as requested.
- Send transactional emails related to your cards (e.g., private edit links).
- Improve our platform, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Prevent abuse and maintain the security of our service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Card delivery: Signer names and messages are shared with the card recipient when the card is sent. This is the core function of our service.
- Card management: Signer names and messages are visible to the card creator for moderation purposes.
- Service providers: We use third-party services (e.g., email delivery, hosting, analytics) that may process data on our behalf.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal process.
4. Data Retention
Card content (messages, names) is retained as long as the card exists on our platform. Card creators may request deletion of their cards at any time. Contact support to request deletion.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and private management links. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for the functioning of our platform. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
